College Committees
The College committees report to the Governing Body, which takes all major decisions on behalf of the College. In some cases they report through the Finance and General Purposes Committee.
The principal committees of the Governing Body include:
Academic Committee
Academic Committee establishes policy and monitors progress in respect of the College’s main activities of education and research. The Committee meets five times a year and its membership is drawn from the Governing Body.
Fellowship Committee
Fellowship Committee advises on the recruitment and the retention of College Fellows including recommendations about individual elections. The Committee meets at least four times a year. Its membership, which is drawn from the Governing Body, reflects the range of academic disciplines.
Finance and General Purposes Committee
Finance and General Purposes Committee has responsibility for the oversight of the College’s financial and administrative affairs and meets at least six times a year. Membership is drawn from the Governing Body.
Investments Committee
Investments Committee has oversight and sets policy for the College’s endowment. The Committee meets three times a year and it includes external members with knowledge and experience of investments.
Development Committee
Development Committee oversees and sets policy for the College’s alumni relations and fund-raising programmes. The Committee meets at least three times a year and its membership is from the Governing Body and the wider Fellowship.

Governing Body and other minutes are available as paper documents three months after confirmation by contacting the Freedom of Information Officer. A charge will be made to cover photocopying charges. They will exclude information for which exemptions apply (for example personal information exempt under the Data Protection Act, or commercially sensitive information exempt under the Freedom of Information Act.)
Consultative Committee
The Consultative Committee at which the student representatives meet with College Officers meets termly. The Committee comprises the Senior Tutor, the Senior Bursar, the Assistant Bursar, and the Presidents of the Middle and Junior Combination Rooms. There are no minutes. Student representatives are members of many of the College Committees and attend the Governing Body for Unreserved Business. Members of staff attend or are members of other relevant committees.

Advertisements for employment within the College, including relevant recruitment procedures, may be found in the Vacancies section. Records of appointment committees are not published because they contain personal information.
