Alumni and Supporters
The College site remains closed to the general public. Members who wish to visit are asked to contact the Alumni and Development Office at least 24 hours in advance.
Magdalene Members can be found in every corner of the globe and we run a very active events programme during the year to keep in touch and offer opportunities to reconnect to Magdalene.
Last year alone over 1300 Members generously supported the College by helping us to fund bursaries and scholarships, invest in teaching and research whilst also upgrading our facilities and maintaining our heritage buildings for which we are extremely grateful.
After graduation Members become alumni of the College and the University of Cambridge. The College offers a number of benefits to its non-resident Members (NRMs), including Dining rights for MAs, Guest rooms in College, and punt hire.
Future Foundations - The Campaign for Magdalene is a five year campaign aiming to raise £25 million to secure undergraduate bursaries, support postgraduate students and early career Fellows, build a new College Library and restore the iconic Pepys Building.
The Magdalene College Foundation (USA)
The Magdalene College Foundation is a US non-profit organization, tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the US Internal Revenue Code and is governed by an independent board of directors. Gifts to The Magdalene College Foundation are deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Alumni Events and Reunions
The College organises events throughout the year, ranging from Reunion Dinners to garden parties, networking events and lectures. Some of these, like the popular Family Day, take place in College, but there are a number of regional and international events for Members living outside the UK.
Non-Resident Members' Nights
Members who have taken their MA (Cantab) are welcome to dine in Hall at High Table up to three times a year free of charge. We also organise NRM Dining Nights twice a term offering the opportunity to bring a guest for a small fee. Many Members use their MA dining privileges at the NRM Nights.
The Magdalene community is active and very friendly. Our alumni networks offer Members the chance to stay in touch with Magdalene, to make new friends and catch up with old ones, network with fellow professionals, meet current students and Fellows, and to enjoy the varied events programme.
From Magdalene Teddies, Sam and Peeps (!), to College ties, cufflinks, handbag mirrors and mugs featuring the College grace: you will find a variety of Magdalene merchandise available to purchase.
