Magdalene College Choir: Allegri Miserere

Join the Choir of Magdalene College, Cambridge for a concert of beautiful, reflective choral music in the heart of London at St Matthew's Westminster, on Thursday 14th March 2024. The performance will start at 7.00pm prompt.

Few pieces of sacred music are more famous than Allegri's 'Miserere', a penitential psalm with a fascinating history, from the original austere polyphony to the richly ornamented work we know today, with its notorious high Cs. Alongside it is other music for the Lenten season of reflection and devotion, including works by Arvo Pärt, Henry Purcell, and more.

We are grateful to St Matthew's Church for hosting us for this concert. Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards the Church, as well as the Choir's Tour Fund.
