UCAS Application and My Cambridge Application

UCAS Application

All university applications are made through the University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). You make one UCAS application and can either apply to Cambridge University only, or you can apply to Cambridge and several other UK universities at the same time. It is not possible to apply to both Cambridge and Oxford, so if you are interested in courses at both universities, you must choose between which you would like to apply to before making an application.

You can apply for one course at Cambridge. At Magdalene College, we offer all Cambridge courses. See the course pages for a list of courses and further information.

When applying to Cambridge, applicants can select a specific College or submit an open application. Applicants who submit an open application will be allocated to a College shortly after the application deadline. More information is available on choosing a College in Cambridge and on our College, Magdalene. If you choose to apply to Magdalene, we will receive your application directly.

The deadline for the UCAS application is 18:00 UK time on 15 October. This is an absolute deadline.

Cambridge specific application form – My Cambridge Application

Within 48 hours of submitting your UCAS application, you will receive an email with log-in details for the Cambridge-specific additional application form. This is called My Cambridge Application (it was previously called the SAQ) and we have it because we do not compose the UCAS form and we need to ask additional questions.

When you receive your log-in details and the website link, you can log-in and work on your My Cambridge Application form. You can save your work and go back if you need to complete the questionnaire in multiple sessions. There will be guidance on the Cambridge Admissions website to help you complete your My Cambridge Application form- and there will also be a My Cambridge Application helpdesk to contact with any questions you have whilst completing the form.

All applicants must submit the My Cambridge Application form by 18:00 UK time on 22 October. Like the UCAS deadline, this is an absolute deadline.
