About Magdalene Described

Magdalene Described contains a brief account of the site since 1428, the College's changing fortunes, and sketches the historical background for the architectural description of a fascinating series of buildings which span the fifteenth century to the twenty-first. The survey is enlivened with notes on the heraldry, stained glass, pictures, and inscriptions, while quaint details are always pointed out. There are over 60 photographs, many of them specially commissioned.
