Mr Daniel Mulhall (2023), Former Ambassador of Ireland to the United States of America, and Global Distinguished Professor of Irish Studies at New York University, gives this year's Parnell Lecture, ‘An Unforeseen Consequence: Ireland, The UK and Irish America,1972-2022’.

The lecture will be held In the Cripps Auditorium at Magdalene College at 5.15 pm on Monday 20 February 2023.

Mr Daniel Mulhall

College positions: Visiting Fellow

Mr Daniel Mulhall is the Parnell Fellow at Magdalene College. He is a former Irish diplomat, author, public speaker, and commentator on Irish and international issues. In 2022, he was Global Distinguished Professor of Irish Studies at Glucksman Ireland House, New York University and he served for 44 years in Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs in some of its most senior positions.
