Arts and Humanities Essay Competition Webinar: The Writing Process

Magdalene College is delighted to announce a brand-new Arts and Humanities Essay Competition for 2023.

The competition is open to students attending state-maintained schools in the UK, and who are in their penultimate year of education.

The Writing Process Webinar

The Schools Liaison Officer will lead an interactive webinar for students in Year 12 (S5 in Scotland, Year 13 in Northern Ireland, or equivalent) who are entering the Magdalene College Arts and Humanities Essay Competition. The focus of the session will be ‘The Writing Process’.

The session will cover:

• Getting started with writing an academic essay.
• Developing an academic argument in response to the essay question.
• Advice on structuring an essay.

Registration

The session will take place on Zoom Webinar. The webinar is free, but registration is required.

Please register at least 48 hours before the event is due to start.
